The Going Ons...

First I want to mention that I skipped right over my 200th post without realizing it :-/
This is my 204th post, its no cause to party but its interesting enough for me. Somewhat.

Anyway, let me get back to what has been going on.

I've been sicky. It has started my friends. Morning sickness, boo! Its not cool. Actually, it pisses me off because I had promised myself that I wouldn't get sick and I hate letting myself down. If there is someone I can always count on is me and now I can't even believe in my own words, what has the world come to? Scary stuff people, scary stuff.

I had hints of it last Friday but I brushed it off. Then it really hit me on Sunday and everyday since. Its almost an all day thing of feeling "off" and almost pukey with horrible headaches. My head sometimes feels like its spinning and my heartburn comes and goes. The most confusing part is when I'm very naseous and feel like I can't eat but I'm so hungry I feel like I'm about to swallow myself from the inside out. Weird. Luckily, its not so bad that I can't try to fake it at work. Except for when I'm told I look green, not cool Brenda.. not cool. And there I was thinking I was fooling people, ah well.

I think I can handle feeling like this. Its not ideal to go around with a big smile when you feel like you have the flu but hey, I can't grow two humans and not feel a thing can I? And if I get worse? I will NOT hesitate to request some kind of prescription to help me out. For my job, where I deal with people and I can't hide out,  I need to feel as good as possible. Puking on clients would not be good for business, even if they deserve it.

On other news, tomorrow is my second ultrasound. It will be 6 weeks 5 days and I'm praying we get to see both heartbeats. I'm very very anxious!

  11. Sorry you are feeling yucky, but you know what morning sickness means? It means you are pregnant!!! And, I've heard you tend to be more sick with twins, which means YOU ARE HAVING TWINS! Woo hoo! Yay for sickness! (Even though I know- because I puked every single day for 30 weeks- how sucky it feels.) Hope you feel better soon, and I REALLY hope that you have a spectacular ultrasound tomorrow!

  13. I am sorry you haven't been feeling well. I had a similar feeling this past weekend. I was so sick to my stomach but SOO hungry at the same time. Crazy. And the nausea medicine they gave me helped alot. Hope you start feeling better soon. And yay for another ultrasound! Hope you hear both heartbeats!!

  14. My MS came full force at 5 weeks and let me tell you...Zofran canTo be your best friend! I tried all those dumb suggestions...I ate crackers, sucked on candy, drank water, yaddie yada yada...and nothing worked. My doctor finally put me on Zofran and after one day I wanted to kiss the floor those pharmaceuticals walked on :)

  17. I'm so excited for you Shanny.. I'm a week behind you, my ET went really well and I now have a BFP. I am 5 weeks 5 days and off for my first ultrasound tomorrow. I'm sad that you're feeling sick but I'm right there with you on that one. Feeling nauseous and hungry at the same time is definitely a weird feeling. Best of luck with your ultrasound!

  18. Thinking of you tomorrow! Definitely don't hesitate to ask for Zofran - I held out until I thought it was "bad enough" to warrant a perscription, and I really regret waiting so long. I call them my "magic pills" - no need to feel bad, imo!

  19. In the health store you can buy sugared ginger candy that works well. Sometimes you can find hard ginger candy also. Ginger Ale works good - made with Ginger. Or buy ginger at the store. Peel it and boil it and drink it. It works. Honest. I am 4 1/2 months pregnant from IVF, my 2nd IVF pregnancy!

  20. Morning sickness is a fabulous sign, my dear! It means that your babies are growing and thriving in their new environment. Take care of yourself and eat whenever you can (since you never know how long it'll stay down!).
