Things I Did Not Expect

I know I'm early in my pregnancy and all that but there are some things that totally caught me by surprise. Wanna know what? Ok, I'll tell you.

1- I didn't know that my boobs would not change, at all. During my past pregnancies they got really big and tender immediately. It hurt to wear a bra. Now? Nothing. They are the same, not that I need them to get any bigger or that I want pain or anything but its a bit shocking to tell you the truth.

2- I did not expect for one of my nipples to itch like crazy. Sorry for the TMI but it has to be said, at least I'm not telling which one. It goes on and off but every so often it just goes to town with itchiness, and of course I tend to irritate it more by scratching and I make it worse, ah well!

3- Breakouts. I am breaking out like a hormonal teenager but not on my face, oh no. Well a little bit on my face but if it was all there I would be unrecognizable. I'm breaking out in my head. All over my head, it hurts to comb my hair. And to make things more exciting apparently I can't stop myself from popping them. Not that I'm doing it on purpose, I'll be watching TV and suddenly I find my hand in my head going at it, ouch. The good thing is that if it leaves any marks no one will see them, right? This is crazy.

4- Hating my cooking. I can't stand anything I cook, even something as simple as frying eggs makes my stomach turn inside out. So I've been really bad with that, really bad. I'm ashamed =(

  2. oh you should definitely be ashamed.. bad bad bad Shanny... Pregnant with twins and sick to her stomach? Who woulda thought?!
Okay, all bugging aside - I am sorry :( I was deathly ill with all three of my pregnancies. I lost weight for a long while instead of gaining it... oh the joys hey!?
I hope it gets better and I really hope that nipple decides to simmer down. Because what is worse than an itchy nipple?! Ick! lol

  3. I didn't expect you to say those things either ;-)

Sorry to scare you a little earlier with the whole "having two babies is hard" talk. I meant that it was super easy and anyone with a monkey brain should be able to handle it just fine. The babies are super understanding of how busy you may be and they purposely plan their schedules around your's. They NEVER cry and don't really ask for much from you in return. They just smile cutely and sit quietly. No problem at all. You should be perfectly fine.

No, really, you WILL be perfectly fine. You've got time to prepare and God will give you the strength you need for whatever comes along. And this is coming from someone who just pretends to have twins. :-)

  4. That's so funny that you said your nipple has been itching because I've been super itchy all over. It's crazy. I heard that pregnancy gives you really dry skin and such but I think people in public are starting to not want to stand by me cus I might have a skin disease. lol And don't worry, I threw up my eggs I made...twice.

  10. First: Never be ashamed about not cooking..there will be plenty of time for that once you get you cute little babies here!!!

Plus take full advantage now of getting to eat out and not having to cook!!!

Second: When I had Aidan I had a little break out here or there but with the girls..I think my hormones went into overdrive and like you I felt like I was revisiting my teenage days!!! Oh well in the end it will all be worth it :)
